1-Tag-Nikko Crash-Kurs

Wichtige Regeln wie immer: Plant pro Tempel etwa 1 Stunde. Denkt dran, daß die Tempel meist um 16:30 schließen. Nach 18 Uhr wird es im Frühjahr und Herbst schnell dunkel. Ergänzt meine Idee mit euren Vorlieben; ich kann nur Tips geben.

Anreise: Nehmt nicht den Ltd.Express über Utsunomiya. Ihr seid sonst über 3 Stunden unterwegs. Es gibt zwei schnellere Verbindungen: ab Asakausa (Tobu Line) und ab Shinjuku (JR und Toko Kooperation). Denkt dran, der JRP gilt hier nicht, dafür erreicht man Nikko innerhalb einer Stunde. Der Shinkansen bis Utsunomiya ist keine echte Alternative, Mit Umsteigen ist man leicht 2 Stunden unterwegs. (Nu als Tip: In der Zeit schafft man es auch bis nach Nagano).

Before we start the usual rules: Calculate 1 hour for each temple. Remember that most of the temples and shrines close at 4:30 pm. In Spring and Autumn it is getting dark after 6 pm really soon; Optimize your travel route with your own ideas; I only can give some suggstions.

Gettings there: Don’t use the Lt.Express over Utsunomiya. The ride will take over 3 hours. There are two fast connections: starting in Asakusa (Tobu Line) and in Shinjuku (a cooperation between JR and Tobu). Both trains arrive in Nikko within 1 hour. But note, that the JRP is not valid on this line. The Shinkansen to Utsunomiya is not really an alternative. With the transit time you may be on the tracks for 2 hours (in the same time you can get to Nagano).
